I am developing a series of tutorials on Building a Website with Drupal 6 at The Coding Pad. This series follows pretty much the same mode as the one for Drupal 5 starting from the very beginning, installing Drupal 6, and then continues to build and add features.
The installments so far are:
Part 1: Introduction
Part 2: Installing Drupal 6
Part 3: Configuring your Site
Part 4: Playing with Blocks
Part 5: Playing with Modules
Part 6: Playing with Themes
Part 7: Installing Modules and Themes
Part 8: Pathauto, Content, and Content Types
Part 9: Users, Roles, and Permissions
I am not going to abandon Drupal 5 or this website. I will continue to add features on this site, with accompanying tutorials which will most likely be hosted right here. However, Drupal 7 is in the works now, so unless you have a very strong and convincing reason to stay with Drupal 5, I would recommend you build any new sites on Drupal 6 so that you stay up to date.
If you have any questions regarding Drupal, how things on this website were implemented, or similar, please don't hesitate to ask them through the comments section, the Contact page, or at the Coding Pad.
